2007
We
have started working on an extension project for the Mosque
with the help of a Pakistani brother (may Allah be pleased
with him and his family) who volunteered to pay for all
the expenditures of the architect for the initial design
work. The design part of the project has recently been completed.
The extension will be to the front of the existing Masjid
area and it will cover an area of 1634 square feet. Once
the whole project is complete, brothers will pray in this
new part of the building and the sisters will pray where
the brothers are currently praying. The cost of the project
is estimated to be around $350000.
We
have also agreed to purchase the house next to the Mosque
for $215000. The backyard of the house is adjacent to the
Islamic Academy as well as the parking lot of the Mosque.
This enables us to expand the Mosque's parking lot and have
a car entrance to the Mosque from the school. We will also
make use of the house for the benefit of the Mosque and
the Muslim community. We want to complete this purchase
as soon as possible with your help inshallah.
As
we all know and believe we will be rewarded for all the
good deeds that we perform in this temporary world in the
hereafter. Everything that we have will be left behind in
this world except these good deeds for the sake of Allah.
Our masjids are extremely important for us, especially in
this country so please donate generously and help us complete
our projects with your help.
